How Bharat Seva Setu works

1. Finding a service or shop

On the home or city page, pick a category (home services, food, education) or type the job in search — “AC repair”, “plumber”, “coaching”. Results are approved listings only. Each card shows the name, area, ratings when we have them, and call or WhatsApp actions.

Open a listing to see photos, service area, and a rate card if the merchant added one. Agree the scope, timing, and payment with them before work starts — this site is not a contract for the job.

2. Listing a business

Use “List your business” to register. Add your city, category, phone, and a short description. After our team approves it, the listing is public. You can start on a free plan; paid plans are optional for extra visibility. Leads reach your number — we do not sit in the middle of the call.

3. What verification means

A verified badge means we checked a mobile OTP and/or documents such as GST or Udyam. It is not a quality guarantee or a government certificate. Report a fake listing; privacy and terms pages explain how we handle that.

4. Local jobs

Merchants can post local roles (driver, helper, technician). Applicants contact them on WhatsApp or phone. We are not the employer and do not guarantee wages.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

Some public pages may show a labelled Advertisement block. Ads sit below the main listings, not on login screens or empty category pages. We do not trick you into clicking them. Ad content follows Google’s policies and is separate from our directory listings.

6. What vendors pay Bharat Seva Setu

City partners pay Bharat Seva Setu for digital business listing, promotional placement, subscription features and lead-generation services (enquiry usage units). This is not customer → us → shop. Enquiry units are not a wallet or stored value. Card checkout runs only after the payment partner approves live merchant payments; until then the dashboard uses WhatsApp, and we activate the plan after we confirm payment.
