Bharat Seva Setu (bharatsevasetu.com) is an independent local services directory built for India’s tier-2, tier-3, and rural markets. Citizens search listings and reach businesses by call or WhatsApp. We are not a party to the job the shop performs, and we do not collect customer payment for that work through Razorpay.

Our mission is to help local merchants, skilled technicians, and service providers get a trustworthy digital presence. We do not publish a current nationwide merchant count as a live statistic.
Our vision is aligned with Digital India and Vocal for Local: a high-trust hyperlocal directory so neighbourhood businesses—from a plumber or tutor in Darbhanga to building-material suppliers—can be found on equal digital footing.
How Bharat Seva Setu is paid
City partners (vendors) may purchase optional digital platform services from us: digital business listing, promotional placement, subscription features, and lead-generation services (enquiry usage units consumed to receive or unlock qualified business enquiries — not a wallet or stored value).
The money flow is Vendor → Bharat Seva Setu. It is not Customer → Bharat Seva Setu → vendor. Customers do not pay us for the shop’s work. When a payment gateway is live, vendor payments are processed to Bharat Seva Setu; until then, the vendor dashboard may complete the same purchases via support contact, with entitlements activated after we confirm payment.
Founder Vision Statement
"Bharat Seva Setu was born from a simple observation: while metro cities in India have seen rapid digitization of services, our tier-2 and tier-3 cities have been largely left behind or exploited by listing platforms that sell the same consumer enquiry many times over. That wastes money for local shop owners and confuses customers."
"Our goal is transparency. We do not take payment from the customer for the shop’s job, and we do not pay out shop GMV through this platform. Optional listing tools, enquiry packages, and platform fees are billed to city partners. Citizens get a directory of local options they can contact directly."
What verification means
A listing is verified only when its page says so. Verification is a check we record. It is not a promise that the work will be good, on time, or officially endorsed.
Phone verified means a phone number for that listing was confirmed. GST verified means that business submitted a GSTIN and we accepted it. Admin verified means a Bharat Seva Setu reviewer checked the listing by hand. Unverified listings can still be shown, and the page says they are unverified.
A star rating is shown only when people have left reviews on that listing. Sorting uses a trust score that gives less weight to a business with very few reviews, so one five-star review does not automatically outrank a business with many reviews. We do not invent ratings, review counts, or “people contacted” numbers.

Our journey began in Darbhanga, Bihar. We are deeply committed to supporting neighborhood commerce, education coaching hubs, healthcare providers, and local manufacturing across the Mithila region.
By building hyper-localized category indexes, we ensure that regional languages (such as Hindi and Maithili) and local search habits are respected, allowing even micro-vendors to attract regional demand.

Bharat Seva Setu is Udyam Registered (UDYAM-BR-10-0071482) as a Micro enterprise under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, with major activity in web-page designing and IT-enabled local discovery services.
This registration reflects our commitment to transparent operations and long-term vendor partnerships. We are a private digital platform — not a government department. The Udyam number above is the registration we display; it is not a government endorsement of every listing.
Digital empowerment & local employment
Our mission combines city and category search with direct call and WhatsApp contact so micro-businesses can be discovered locally. A listing is marked verified only when that page says so. Optional paid tools for city partners are described on our business tools page and in the vendor dashboard.
